The book is written as a result of a researched experience of a conducted experiment - “Design Studio FAEUS”, the First Architectural Educational Undergraduate Studio, 1989 - 2001, as a new, alternative, educational approach in architecture in our country. This work is devoted to the Professor and the founded by him “Design Studio FAEUS”, which celebrates 20 years of its ending. Its aim is to analyse what has happened for the successful, educational eleven-year-experiment, share alternative, innovative academic experience in Architectural design, how the projects were prepared as a foundation in the studying of Architecture in it, and the didactics of a new pedagogical method, so that today, more than ever, we can use the rich legacy of Prof. Stefan Popov and his team in the search of educational innovative practices. 
 

Acknowledgment of the importance of his successful educational experiment is the publishing of the experience of FAEUS in an article by Prof. St. Popov in the issued two-volume scientific work - a research by Prof. Arch. Ralph Johannes: “Entwerfen II, Architektenausbildung in Europa seit Mitte des 20.Jahrhunderts bis zum “Bologna-Prozess”, Reformkonzeptionen europaischer Lander und Instutionen-Unterrichtsmodelle Erfahrungsberichte.” JONIUS, 2018, Hamburg. The title of his publication is “Reform Conception in Architectural Design Education in Bulgaria since 1945 /until 2002/, in the third part of the work: “Reformkonzeptionen europaischer Lander”.
